Please consider ignoring the beige door that leads to our studio. Fact is, I FORGOT (believe it or not) to paint the door white when I painted the trim white back in the day. AND AGAIN when we painted the wainscoting. I'm a natural blonde.
We're still planning on adding some crown moulding to the top to make it feel more finished, and to provide the added benefit of a little shelfy thing for me to put picture frames and such. Kinda like this:

We'll be getting to that this weekend. And you might be wondering about the buttery yellow wall color? It won't be that way for long. I'm not sure of the color yet, so we're holding off for now. Plus, I don't want to get going on that before we address this issue:
We got a little sloppy with our white paint job because... WE'RE GOING TO TAKE THIS WHOLE WALL OUT!!
These old houses have lots of character and all, but the floor plan seems so closed off. And we want to open things up between the living room and dining room! This is going to be a big messy job, but we'll be sure to bring you along for the ride!
