Many Uses For MASON JARS!!

I'm a long-time lover of mason jars, and the vintage/industrial feel that they provide. Who doesn't love drinking rum and coke lemonade out of a mason jar on a hot summer day? These inexpensive and easily accessible glass jars have SO many uses, and I've been oogling all the amazing ideas there are out in blogland and Pinterest. Using mason jars for lighting, centerpieces or storage is a fun and inexpensive way to update.  I hope these ideas will get your creative juices flowing, or give you some fun and easy holiday gifting ideas! Let's start with centerpiece ideas!

We did our wedding reception on a serious budget, and I chose to use different sizes of mason jars and old clear glass vases with tea lights in them to make a beautiful glowing centerpiece on each table. This was so inexpensive, as we were able to use all my mom's old canning jars and jars/vases that we found at thrift stores and garage sales.

Simply spray painting mason jars can give them a fresh pop of color.

 

Or use some scraps of burlap and ribbon and make a beautiful vase!

This one is a great tutorial for tinting your mason jars to look more vintage!

I love this next one for a holiday centerpiece! Just wrap some scraps of festive red fabrics around the jars, and put some berry branches inside!

This last one is just a collection of tinted mason jars with random sprigs of baby's breath. LOVE this look!!

Lighting Ideas are next!

Totally love these twinkle lights in the mason jars, giving a lantern-like effect! What a great idea for an outside party?!

Here's a great little tutorial on etching glass, making such a perfect little home for a tea light.

And another chandelier idea... this one was found on Etsy, and is PRICEY! But the whole idea is to get inspired by these ideas and maybe even attempt your own!

And finally: Mason Jar STORAGE!

I don't have the source for this one, but it's pretty self-explanatory I think. I like the idea of using chalkboard paint as a non-permanent label for various storage uses! And it's chic!

Using mason jars for pantry storage is so inexpensive and classy... AND you can see what you're looking for!

Here's another pantry pic that also utilizes the chalkboard labels. Mostly I just love that chartreuse wall.

And this last one I have every intention of doing in my future craft room. Gluing the lid of the jar underneith a shelf or cabinet... GENIUS! It gives you more table space, yet neatly and visibly displays/organizes and stores your little items that would otherwise be... EVERYWHERE otherwise. Great idea huh?
