Christmas Card Wreath

I tend to draw blanks when it comes to festive holiday crafts. As I stalk other blogs, I see all kinds of cute ornaments, candles, etc that make me feel like a creative failure. This year especially, I've been loving wreaths... like this one and this one. And it got me thinkin...

Men love using power tools, so suckering the man-boy into helping with this project was easy. It especially helps if you caress his biceps while he operates said equipment.

Using cloths-pins that we had leftover from a previous project, this cheap bulletin board square cut in a circle, and some good ol' wood glue, we fixed up this "wreath!"

Throw in some white spray paint and a mirror we had floating around the house, and we have this super cute wreath for holding all our Christmas cards throughout the season!! That way they're not cluttering up my refrigerator, and there's always the added benefit of having a festive little something that you created yourself!

We chose to paint it white so we could use it throughout the year for birthday cards, paint color swatches, and whatever else floats our boat! Have all ya'll been doing anything festive and crafty this season? Please share!

UPDATE!

This "wreath" has totally become an all-season fixture on our wall in the dining room, featuring any and all recent birthday cards, graduation or wedding invites, and baby announcements! We love to keep our fridge clutter-free! We love it!

What a crafty thing you are! Adorable! I couldn't have thought of that in a million years! Thanks for the link to the other wreaths! Besides being the cutest wreaths ever, I love the green doors behind the lima bean wreaths! My doors are going to become green this spring! What a shot of color! I love it!

Oh My!!! Love this idea!!! SO CUTE!!! I think I might have to figure out how I can do a non-cutting version of this. I think I might break out the heavy-duty scissors and recreate the magic on cardboard! Genius!
